The culture and heritage that is characteristic of coastal Louisiana is unparalleled and in danger of being lost forever. Wouldn’t you want someone to save your home if you were in the same situation?

There are more than 2 million residents that consider Coastal Louisiana home and plenty of other places rely on the Louisiana coast for seafood and traded goods.

“Stories from the Gulf: Living with the Oil Disaster”

Stories from the Gulf: Living with the Oil Disaster,”produced by NRDC with opening narration by Robert Redford, premieres on Discovery’s Planet Green Saturday, April 23, at 1:30 p.m. CST. The half hour documentary explores the impact of America’s worst oil disaster on Gulf Coast residents, using stunning original photography and audio interviews produced by NRDC and Bridge the Gulf, recorded by StoryCorps.

“Stories from the Gulf: Living with the Oil Disaster,” will include interviews recorded with local residents in Chauvin at the Bayou Grace office.
