Wednesday Why: Connections

Slide2

The Mississippi River watershed is the largest in North America and the third largest in the world. It drains 31 states and two Canadian provinces between the Rocky and Appalachian Mountains, encompassing 42% of the contiguous United States. This is a good reminder of how we are all connected and need to work together to protect that which connects us.

Wednesday Why: Joining Forces

Joining Forces

Our good friend and Oxfam Coastal Community Partner, Reverend Tyronne Edwards of Zion Travelers Cooperative Center, knows that we must work together if we are going to be able to save coastal Louisiana for our future generations. And the Rev is always happy to join forces with anyone who shares this goal, including the beautiful and talented Miss Louisiana, Kristen Girault, and Miss Teen Louisiana, Ashley Hidalgo.
